Third lesson in BES, Ardra and I were early as we meet up before the class started. Candidly, I planned to help her with her assignment as she asked for my help yesterday night. We planned to do in the class but later did I know that there are another students in the class, we end up chatting with them and keeping aside our assignment for the moment.
We starts our class at 3.30pm with Linda our ECU Lecturer. At first, she thought we were the last class's students which uses this classroom. Eventually, she found out that we are her students in this BES 2100.
She start off with a group of 4 people. I become the traveller in this group as I am the one who is appointed by 3 of them. I felt being bullied(hehe..) We discussed what is our topic which is assign to us. After we analyse the paragraph, I am told to walk around the class to tell another group what is the content of the paragraph. After this activity, we are given a 15 minutes break.
After the break, Linda asked us to lined up according to our birthday date. I standed somewhere around the last. Not forgetting our instruction is that we can't talk to each other verbally, and we are only allowed to use some action. Tom, one of our classmates using phone to type his birthday date to find his place. quite creative however, I am not sure is this allow in this activity. After all has finished lining up, Linda told us to go in a group of 3. My group will be Brian, Samson and I. I become the commentator for this round while both of them will be the one who negotiate with each other. this is our planned because both them have working experience. Coincidently, both of them work in the same company but Brian has left the company years back. This makes them have the same topic to talk and I will learn more in this round because they have real life example. I felt lucky to have them in this round because I am able to learn something from them which happened in reality world.
The second round, I am paired with Louis, he is a Malaysian and this is the first time i talked to him because this is the first time we are in the same class. He took the role of Sam, which is the employer, and I took the role of Lee, which is the employee. We try to negotiate with each other about the overload in work given and Lee try to talk with Sam about the Senior Associates post.
When we finished this round, Linda announced that the class has ended and she touched abit about the negotiation test that is held tomorrow morning.
